A COVID-19 STORY

SF State University, Individual Work, 2020

In my second semester at San Francisco State University as a journalism major and political science minor, the city of San Francisco ordered shelter in place due to the coronavirus pandemic. My digital news gathering class led by Sachi Cunningham was, like all other courses at the university, forced to change direction. For our final project, we were instructed to make a video diary of our lives during the pandemic and shelter in place measure.

Work Process

This was my first attempt in directing, shooting, editing and producing the music for the film.  The film follows my daily life with the people I was with and some of the challenges we faced.

The footage was shot on a Canon Mark III DSLR camera, GoPro Hero 5 and I recorded and produced the music with Logic Pro X using the Komplete Native Instruments software along with my acoustic and electric guitars.  Video editing was done in Adobe Premiere and Adobe After Effects.
